On the snowy morning of Family Day in the beautiful town of Oakville, Ontario, RoboThink GTA were greeted by a huge crowd of enthusiastic families at two community centers - Queen Elizabeth Park community and cultural centre and River Oaks community centre.
Equipped with the greatest and latest robotics kits, RoboThink quickly set up four different levels of robotics challenges for the future engineers lining up at the door. Each family will be assessed by RoboThink staff and will pick one of the challenges below to complete in limited time. These challenges span from basic but fun dump truck, to super cool helicopter and shooter bots, all the way to fully autonomous obstacle avoider!
Within a short moment, everybody is completely absorbed by the challenge at hand. Moms, dads, sisters and brothers - all are united and aligned with a single goal in mind - find the correct gear ratio, choose building blocks to position them just right, and get the helicopter props spinning!
Time flies fast with all the hard work and laughter - within 2 hours in each location, a total of 38 families successfully completed one of the RoboThink challenges! They were awarded with candies, a cool Instax photo, and most importantly, the sweetest experience of all - achieving something amazing together as a loving family!
